About our bot

If you found TaglanternBot/1.0 in your store's logs, it's because someone requested a check of your domain on this site.

• A request is only made when a user starts it — we don't crawl automatically (except re-checking stores whose owners asked for email alerts).
• Each scan reads at most the homepage, /products.json?limit=1 and one product page.
• Each domain is scanned at most 3 times per hour; results are cached for 24 hours.
• We only read public content. We don't submit forms or try to access private areas.

Opt your domain out

If you don't want your store to be scanned, email hello@taglantern.com from an address on that domain and we'll stop scanning it.
